Educator ~ Writer ~ Community Organizer
Mizz Jasz is an educator, writer, non-profit founder, and author of the poetry chapbook Urgent Conversations: Race, Reality, and Responsibility. Through event curating, facilitating, and organizing, Jasz unpacks the nuances of being a black woman creative in search of healing, balance and entrepreneurial pursuits within rigid social constructs.
With a decade of experience in education, teaching and empowerment are intertwined in every thread of Jasz' work. She is most known for her introspective writing and captivating presence which create the space for Jasz to pour into her heart's passion of pushing communities of color forward.
Presently Jasz serves as President and Co-founder of the non-profit Urgent 365, a blogger, and a Contributing Writer for Mogul Millennial. She has been featured as a poet and curator in several cities and universities throughout Philadelphia, Chicago, Wilmington and Washington D.C. Her endeavors are grounded in the empowerment of Black women and the social climate of the Black community as a whole.
